MORE THAN UTILITY WOOD
Poplar is a closed-grain semi-hard wood that is widely used throughout the United States, commonly as a utility wood, though it also makes for beautiful slabs. Color varies from white and yellow sapwood to yellowish brown heartwood with occasional greens and greys. The grain is generally straight and is very easy to work. Poplar wood takes nails, screws and glue well and is commonly used with various stains to simulate other wood types. We have a steady selection of poplar slabs in our online shop ready to ship.
